Velliv Foreningen
Velliv Foreningen works to strengthen mental wellbeing in Danish workplaces. The challenge was to address subjects people often find difficult to talk about — without turning them into distant institutional communication.
The Challenge
Giving difficult subjects a way into the conversation.
Some of the hardest experiences in working life are also the hardest to put into words. Velliv Foreningen wanted to make those conversations easier to start – and connect them to the support and communities available around working life.
the solution
Turn an expression into an action.
In Danish, hånden på hjertet – “hand on heart” – is what we say when we ask someone to answer honestly. We made the expression literal: a hand on the heart, with one difficult subject written directly on the skin. The idea made what was difficult to say impossible not to see.
ROLE
Concept development, campaign platform and copy.
My role was to develop a visual concept that could make difficult personal experiences easier to recognise, talk about and connect to a broader conversation about mental wellbeing at work.

IMPACT
From personal stories to a broader creative platform.
The original campaign used real personal stories to open difficult conversations. The same visual device later extended into workplace and community themes including grief, loneliness, emotions, private life and culture, turning a single campaign idea into a broader creative platform.
